The PXShunt500 provides wired battery monitoring for high current BMPRO power management systems.

Made up of two components, the XShunt500 and the PXGateway, it is hardwired into your system for performance and reliability. Adding the PXShunt500 to a BMPRO power management system allows high current loads to be directly connected to the battery while maintaining accurate State of Charge and Time Remaining measurements.

The PXShunt500 provides your BatteryPlus35, ASPero and J35 power management systems with additional information on battery usage, so your display’s battery time remaining and state of charge are always up-to-date.

The PXShunt500 communicates via a CAN bus cable, is designed for 12V batteries up to 1200Ah in capacity, features easy to read LED status indicators and is rated for 500A of continuous current.

The PXShunt500 is IP67 rated, making it suitable for external mounting outside your caravan.

When would I need a Shunt?

A shunt is required for any load or separate charge source going directly to the battery.                                

Below is a list of items that are fitted directly to batteries in caravans:            

Inverters (of any size), diesel or gas heaters, air compressors, portable solar panel, DC/DC chargers (in any brand), additional fridges, Wi-F, satellite TVs, additional high amp 12v plugs (Anderson plugs, 50amp, 80amp, 100amp, 150amp), additional lighting, electric steps, slideouts, electric water pumps electric jacks, winches.

How long is the cable on the PXShunt500?  

The cable between your Power Management System and the PXGateway is 0.5M, the cable between the PXShunt and Gateway is 2.5M.
